Future Mobility Camp business Berlin 2016

In the past, the world of mobility was dominated by big companies, that controlled the air, the railway, or the automotive industry. Due to market concentration processes that were driven by globalization, there is an oligopoly structure left today. The prices have been determined by big players and the consumers had to pay top dollar.

On the other hand, the variety of mobility services and the problems of cars as main mode of transport, especially in urban areas, called for a change of mind. People in big cities now look for intermodal transport solutions and more convenient ways of getting from A to B. Within the last decade, IT became an integral part for mobility products. Mobile devices became smart and many people wanted to use them as a tool for everything. That’s why new services for mobility are growing rapidly, especially in urban areas. Carsharing, E-Carsharing, bikesharing and Uberservices are now very common, because they are now easily accessible and can achieve a considerable turnover. The Internet of Things and the new communication technologies can be a game changer. That’s why the markets for mobility and mobility services have become very innovative and new ideas try to find their market share in the new mobility 4.0 sector.

This change towards a more environmental friendly future also greatly affects climate change. If we don’t change now, the world will be in a different state in 100 years.

Launched in 2013, the Future Mobility Camp has grown into a successful networking event in the mobility and logistics sector where entrepreneurs, executives and investors gain insights into the latest proven concepts, network and establish new business relationships.
